Job Description:
Full-time, year-round position responsible for the general cleaning of buildings and facilities.
Typical work schedule:
Monday - Friday, 6 p.

Duties and
Responsibilities:
Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors as directed.
Dusts furniture and disposes of waste papers.
Cleans lavatories and restocks lavatory supplies.
Cleans windows.
Operates the following equipment in a satisfactory manner:
floor scrubbing machine, floor polishing machine, wet or dry floor vacuum machine, and wet or dry foam rug-cleaning machine.
Moves furniture, equipment, and materials as directed.
Assists with College special events (including load-in and load-out of shows, set-up, clean-up, traffic control in parking lots, etc.
) as needed.
Records personal work time and quantities of materials used on specific jobs as directed.
Contributes to unit planning, assessment, and college institutional effectiveness efforts.
Acts in accordance with College policies and procedure.
Performs other duties as assigned.
This is a disaster essential position Job Requirements:
Educational:
High school diploma (or equivalency) preferred.
Experiential:
Janitorial/Maintenance experience preferred.
Other:
Position involves moderately heavy manual work, including lifting and moving heavy equipment and supplies.
