Summary:
Provides patient care in accordance with the Nurse Practitioner Practice Agreement, prescribes, evaluates and treats patients, telephone triage, including pharmacy calls, patient education and instruction.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.
Other duties may be assigned:
Provide competent care to individuals scheduled to be evaluated and treated by you.
Assess current and potential health problems.
Make sound clinical judgements based on assessment of physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, social, and environmental needs of the patient.
Analyze health behaviors related to personality, lifestyle, and culture.
Order and interpret diagnostic studies such as laboratory test and x-rays.
Perform medical procedures, joint injection, trigger point injection, etc.
Provide teaching, counseling and assistance to individuals and their family members to prevent illness to promote wellness, maintenance and restoration of health regarding Rheumatological conditions.
Knowledge of medicines in treating rheumatologic conditions and related illness Assisting to maintain patient pharmaceutical assistance.
Develop and implement therapeutic plans to promote satisfactory patient outcomes.
Consult, refer to, and collaborate with other disciplines involved in the delivery of total patient care.
Triage patient phone calls and provide necessary advice and or treatment plan Assist in the design, implementation, and evaluation of in the practice.
Function as a team member to promote comprehensive patient care while maintaining safe, high quality, accessible health care to all patient of HARAC Rheumatology.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required EDUCATION/
Experience:
Candidate must have satisfactorily completed an advanced program of professional study for a Nurse Practitioner and have been certified by the Florida Department of Health.
Must have a Board Certification, DEA License and NPI number.
(New Grads Welcome) TYPING SKILLS:
Basic required.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
General knowledge of computer operation, including office scheduling program and EHR knowledge.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write correspondences both medically related and otherwise.
Ability to effectively present information one-on-one, including patients and other employees of the organization.
Ability to be an effective communicator using the telephone including telephone triage experience.
Knowledge of disease entities crucial to educate patients and ascertain problems.
Bilingual a plus, but not required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute medical dosage including but not limited to both conversions and infusion drip rate.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense to understanding and carrying out detailed written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Nurse Practitioner in Adult Health License as described above.
Current American Heart Association Certificate for Basic Life Support and DEA license.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

HARAC expects a Nurse Practitioner position to be a full-time position.
